Max Babu’s New Song ‘Lagchha Saramai’ Released

Mahesh Prasai, widely known as ‘Max Babu’—an entrepreneur and social worker based in Sydney, Australia—has released a new song on the occasion of the New Year. The song, titled ‘Lagchha Sarmai’, features vocals by Max Babu and the popular singer Rachana Rimal.

Max Babu is a well-known performer who regularly participates in Nepali cultural programs in Sydney. In the music video for ‘Lagchha Sarmai,’ he stars alongside actress Garima Sharma. Believing that art and creativity are essential parts of life's journey, he is confident that this musical project will hold a special place in the Nepali music industry and the community.

A Journey from the Stage to the Screen
Having moved to Australia as a youth, Max Babu has shared the stage dozens of times with famous Nepali singers and artists, ranging from the legendary band 1974 AD to current stars. Besides music, he is active in comedy and has even performed with the iconic duo Maha Jodi.

Living in Australia for two decades, Max Babu has performed at major venues like Sydney’s iconic theaters and the Roundhouse. Recently, he also appeared in the Nepali movie ‘PR’. Having shared the stage with celebrated artists like Kunti Moktan, Ram Krishna Dhakal, Shiva Pariyar, and Samikshya Adhikari, he hopes his new song will win the hearts of people of all ages.

Born in Taplejung, eastern Nepal, Max Babu went to Australia as a student in 2008. After years of hard work and struggle, he established ‘Everest Butchery’ in Rockdale, Sydney, in 2015. After over a decade in business, he recently opened ‘Country Fresh Rockdale,’ which was inaugurated by the Premier of New South Wales.

He holds the distinction of being the first person of Nepali origin to receive three awards in a single year from the New South Wales state government. His achievements have also been featured in the national media outlet ‘The Leader.’

Beyond business, Max Babu prioritizes social responsibility. He is the founder of the non-profit organization ‘Vision for Motivation,’ which runs awareness programs for the welfare of Nepali international students.

Max Babu’s journey is not limited to music and acting. By balancing entrepreneurship with the arts, he has become an activist for preserving cultural identity.

Whether on stage or in business, his work reflects confidence, hard work, and a deep connection to his Nepali roots, making him an inspiring figure as both an entrepreneur and an artist.
