Kulman Ghising Honored by Citizens in Sarlahi and Itahari, Receives Overwhelming Support for ‘Ujyaloo Nepal Campaign’

Kulman Ghising, the former Executive Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority and the leader of the ‘Ujyaloo Nepal Campaign’, has expressed heartfelt gratitude for the love, respect, and support he received from the people of Sarlahi, Bara, and Itahari.
In an emotional Facebook post, Ghising wrote:
“To the respected brothers and sisters of Sarlahi, Bara, and Itahari – heartfelt thanks to you all. As I move forward with the ‘Ujyaloo Nepal’ campaign, the immense love, support, and respect you have shown have made me deeply emotional and grateful.”
He described the felicitation he received from citizens in Sarlahi as one of the most unforgettable moments of his life. Similarly, the honor extended by the independent civil society members in Itahari has encouraged and energized him even more, he shared.
In his words,
“This honor is not just for me, but for every Nepali citizen who is devoted to the service of the country and the people.”
Ghising further mentioned that in the faces, voices, and enthusiasm of the citizens of Sarlahi and Itahari, he sees the future of a “Bright Nepal,” where skilled and accountable leadership is expected.
He wrote,
“The faith, inspiration, and respect you’ve shown me have made me feel even more responsible. This honor has inspired me to move forward with even greater determination. Your love, advice, suggestions, and support will always be invaluable to me.”
Concluding the post, Ghising once again expressed heartfelt thanks and said,
“We are in this journey together—and will continue to be.”
