Keki Adhikari as a Compassionate Sister in Janai Harayeko Manche

Kathmandu — After the blockbuster success of Boksi Ko Ghar, actress Keki Adhikari is back on the big screen with her latest film “Janai Harayeko Manche: Sambandhaka Dhagaharu,” releasing nationwide on August 22 (Bhadra 6).
In the film, she plays the role of Bijay Baral’s elder sister, a woman who silently suffers her husband’s dominance while hiding her own pain, all to protect her brother’s happiness. The character symbolizes countless women who sacrifice their personal dreams and endure hardships so that others around them can shine.
Speaking about her role, Keki shared that her character represents a young village woman who once came to Kathmandu carrying big dreams but is eventually trapped by circumstances to the point where she even forgets her own aspirations.
Alongside Keki and Bijay, the film stars Miruna Magar, Shushank Mainali, Bhola Raj Sapkota, Gaurav Pahari, Rear Rai, Bhawana Khapangi Magar, Rupesh Lama, and Suman Thapa.
Produced under the Paperclip Banner by Kamal Nyaupane and Bimal Nyaupane, with distribution handled by Kafiya Films, the project brings together music by Thaneswar Gautam, Arjun Pokharel, SD Yogi, and Prashant Siwakoti, and cinematography by Nabin Gurung and Krishna Pariyar. The story, screenplay, and dialogues are penned by Bhanubhakta Dhakal.
