JSP-Nepal Draws Government's Attention to Peace, Security, and Election Preparedness

Kathmandu. The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal has seriously drawn the government's attention to key issues, including peace and security.
Speaking at the all-party meeting convened by President Ramchandra Paudel on Friday, JSP-Nepal leader Prakash Adhikari urged the government to strengthen the peace and security situation, especially in light of the upcoming House of Representatives by-election.
Leader Adhikari highlighted that the law and order situation tends to be fragile during elections and stated that the House of Representatives by-election scheduled for (Falgun 21) could be even more challenging from a security perspective.
He stressed that in the country's current difficult circumstances, the government must make the necessary preparations to ensure the public can vote peacefully and without fear.
During the meeting, Adhikari also expressed apprehension regarding the recent activities of the government and the Election Commission, questioning if an attempt to practice "partylessness" was underway.
He expressed dissatisfaction that the Election Commission has been advancing election-related programs without proper consultation and dialogue with the political parties.
Furthermore, he emphasised the need to end the impunity observed following the "Gen-Z" movement and called on the government to work in a manner that boosts the morale of the security apparatus.
JSP-Nepal was represented at the all-party meeting by leaders Prakash Adhikari and Bidyut Bajracharya.
