State Should Take Responsibility for Education, Health Services, and Employment: JSP Nepal

The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal has demanded that the state itself must take responsibility for education, health services, and employment.

Submitting a 28-point memorandum to the Prime Minister on Wednesday, JSP Nepal demanded that the state end the 'mafia-ization' and commercialization of education and health services, and arrange for equal, professional, and quality education, health services, and employment for all.

The party emphasized that the government should provide free education, technical training, and employment for the extremely poor and destitute, as well as endangered, marginalized, Dalit, and women's groups.

The memorandum submitted by JSP Nepal also stated: 'Political appointments made by the Government of Nepal should end the system of sharing (quota/distribution) and should be made based on merit, competence, experience, and contribution, ensuring proportionate inclusion.'

As part of its phased protest program, JSP Nepal has announced it will conduct public mobilization through protest programs and corner meetings in various cities and towns of every parliamentary constituency, starting from Thursday Mangsir 11 to 15.

Purna Basnet, the Head of the Publicity Department, stated that the party was forced to resort to phased protests after the government ignored the demands and issues of public concern, ultimately leading to the decision to go before the public through these protest programs.
