Trailer of 'Jharipachhiko Indreni', Reflecting the Gen Z Movement, Released
The trailer for the film 'Jharipachhiko Indreni' (Rainbow After the Rain), which marks the debut directorial venture of comedian Arjun Ghimire 'Pande,' has been released. The 2-minute 55-second long trailer was unveiled on Sunday during an event held in the capital.
The film's public trailer sheds light on its storyline. It can be understood from the trailer that the film is based on the story of a Gen Z youth who starts a movement against corruption and mismanagement from Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu. This trailer mirrors the Gen Z movement that took place in Nepal a while ago.
The story shows how a youth, whose dream of going abroad for higher education is not fulfilled, leads an agitation against corruption and mismanagement. The released trailer appears to pique the curiosity of the audience.
When director Pande was asked about the storyline featured in the trailer, he stated that the filming of his movie was completed even before the Gen Z movement, so any similarities are merely a coincidence.
Actor Ganesh Upreti is making a comeback after a long time with this film, produced by Nagaraj Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. Upreti had returned to Nepal from America for the shooting of this film.
In addition to Ganesh, the movie features performances by Ramesh Upreti, Prakash Ghimire, Deepashree Niraula, Sarita Giri, Deshbhakta Khanal, Nirmal Sharma, Krishna Siwakoti, Krishna Bhakta maharjan, Arjun Ghimire (Pande), Priyana Acharya (Munni), Anshu Maharjan, Rajendra Nepali, and Lakshana Rai.
The film, which will be released nationwide on Poush 4, marks the debut of artists Bimochan Dawadi and Jessica Pokharel. The production company also stated that child artist Dipson Chilwal has acted in the film. Model Anjali Adhikari and choreographer Pradip Lama will also be seen in a special role in one of the film's songs.
The story belongs to director Ghimire himself, while the screenplay and dialogue were collaboratively written by Ganesh Karki and Bishal Ghimire. The cinematographer of the film is Buddha Thapa.
Anisha Sendang Limbu is the producer, with Anu Thapa, Pankaj Khadka, Sirjana Khadka, Subash Sharma, and Ram Karki as co-producers. Yogesh Khatiwada and Binod Kandel are the line producers.
