Janardan Bastola Unanimously Elected President of Fulbari Club

Pokhara — The 34th Annual General Assembly and 17th Convention of Fulbari Club was successfully held in Fulbari, Pokhara–11. The convention unanimously elected Janardan Bastola as the new president, forming a new executive committee.

The newly elected committee includes Yubaraj Bastola as Vice President, Sabina Bastola Acharya as Secretary, Ananta Raj Acharya as Joint Secretary, and Ramsharan Bhattarai as Treasurer. The elected members are Santosh Bhandari, Shivaraj Paudel, Anju Tamrakar Paudel, Subash Bastola, Ramesh Bastola, and Sangita Paudel Acharya.

At the assembly, outgoing Secretary Yubaraj Bastola presented the progress report, while outgoing Treasurer Sabitrikumari Paudel presented the financial report.

Newly elected President Janardan Bastola stated that his top priority during his tenure will be to reinstate the discount card service in coordination with Manipal Hospital. According to him, discount cards were distributed to some households in the Fulbari area when the hospital was first established, but the service was later discontinued. He emphasized the need to resume this initiative and expressed commitment to strengthening the club's role in ensuring community access to available health services.

The chief guest of the program, Ward No. 11 Chairperson Prem Prasad Karmacharya, praised the club's contribution to local development, social inclusion, and community cooperation. He expressed confidence that the new executive committee would be more committed and active.

The event was chaired by outgoing president Manoj Bastola. Remarks were delivered by Garden Club Fulbari President Binod Guru, local representative Susil Bastola, former club president and former ward chair Mohan Prasad Bastola, former president Madhav (Madhu) Prasad Bastola, and club advisor Sanjay Kishor Bastola, among others.
