NCP MP Demands Transparency Regarding Indian Security Officials' Presence in Darchula
Kathmandu. Yubaraj Dulal, a parliamentarian from the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), has demanded the removal of the Prime Minister's statement regarding the border from the parliamentary record, claiming it goes against the national interest.
Speaking at Monday's meeting of the House of Representatives, Dulal pointed out the need for the Speaker to issue a ruling on the Prime Minister's remarks. He stated that his party's demand for the Prime Minister to personally appear in the House and clarify his statement is justified.
"The statement given by the Prime Minister regarding the border is against the national interest. This must be removed from the record, and the Speaker must issue a ruling for this. Our party's demand that the Prime Minister must come to the House and give his clarification is entirely justified," Dulal said.
Similarly, he drew the government's attention to news reports that an Indian Army helicopter had landed in Darchula and demanded a clear answer regarding the matter. Noting that information had been made public suggesting high-ranking officials from the Indian security agencies were on board, he urged the government to make the reality of the incident public.
"Just yesterday, a news report came out that an Indian Army helicopter landed on a piece of land in Darchula, and information has been received that some chief figure from the Indian security agency was traveling in it. What is this about? I want an answer from the government," he said.
Parliamentarian Dulal emphasized that the government must be clear on matters related to borders and national security.
