Khagendra, and Barsha Promote 'Harsha' in Various Schools and Colleges in Eastern Nepal

The production team of Ekata Poudel's debut directorial film, 'Harsha,' is touring various cities across the country for promotion. In line with this, the film's team visited various schools and colleges in Jhapa, Eastern Nepal on Friday to promote the movie.

The film's director, Ekata Poudel, along with actor Khagendra Lamichhane and actress Barsha Raut, visited Lincoln College, Nidhi School, Balmiki School, and Children School in Birtamode, Jhapa. They shared information about the storyline of 'Harsha' and urged students to watch the movie.

The promotional materials for 'Harsha' suggest that family-oriented narratives are once again finding their place in Nepali cinema after a long time. 

The director, Poudel, stated that she chose this genre because the trend of family films has been declining in recent Nepali cinema. She is the niece of the late director Shiva Regmi.

Director Poudel, who studied filmmaking at the New York Film Academy and holds a bachelor's degree in Mass Communication and a master's degree in Management and Leadership, has previously produced a few short films.

The film stars Khagendra, Barsha, and Saimon, along with Nir Shah, Santosh Panta, Sharmila Malla, Maotse Gurung, Bishal Pahadi, Nima Pandey, Lunibha Tuladhar, Anshu Maharjan, Renu Pradhan, Suvarna Thapa, Shristi Maharjan, and Sirjana Napit. 

The crew includes Alok Shukla for cinematography, music by Samir and Himal, Basanta Sapkota, and Alish Karka, editing by Lokesh Bajracharya, and choreography by Sunil Chhetri and director Poudel.

The story of the film, produced under the banners of Ashtalaxmi Productions and E-Prime Movies, is written by director Poudel herself. 

Prasanna Poudel and Bikas Poudel are the producers, and Hikmat Chokhal is the executive producer. Ishwar Ghimire is the production manager, and Kuldeep Sharma is the chief assistant director. 

The film will be distributed by Kafia Films and DCN, with Budha Subba Digital as the digital partner.

The film is scheduled to be released on Mangsir 12.
