Federation President Rasaili directs: Gold and silver transactions must now compulsorily be in grams
Chitwan. Arjun Rasaili, President of the Nepal Federation of Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, has requested that gold and silver transactions compulsorily be done in grams. He stated this while addressing the 13th Annual General Meeting of the Gold and Silver Dealers Women's Group Chitwan.
He has directed that the sale and distribution of gold and silver in tolas in the market should be stopped. "If you do not know how to conduct gold and silver transactions in grams, immediately submit an application to the association.
The Federation is ready to provide training based on the association's request," he said. He also informed that the respective district and municipal associations will now receive gold based on the payment of luxury tax.
Similarly, Tulak Prasad Bishwakarma, Secretary of the Nepal Federation of Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, said that women should not be kept in limited boundaries.
He stated that women should also be given equal participation in the Federation, provincial, district, and municipal associations. He informed that the Federation is ready to facilitate necessary training for the women.
During the general meeting, Nepal Federation of Gold and Silver Dealers' Association spokesperson Jivan Jyoti Bishwakarma, group's founding president and Federation's central member Ritu Bishwakarma, Federation Bagmati Province member Tek Bahadur Bishwakarma (Dinesh), senior guardian and chairman of Milanroad Toll Development Organization Chitra Bahadur Khati, President of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association Chitwan Hem Bahadur Bishwakarma, Chairman of Gold and Silver SACCOS Ruben Ramudamu, President of Tanahu Chitwan Bishwakarma Samaj Gopal Bahadur Thapa B.K., and group's advisor Niru Ramudamu delivered congratulatory remarks and openly praised the group's activities.
Amir Ramdam, Private Press Advisor to the Nepal Federation of Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, was specially present at the general meeting.
At the general meeting, the group's first Vice President and coordinator Sita Sadashankar expressed a welcome address, and the group's President Kalpana Gotame shed light on the group's activities and achievements.
The program, presided over by Kalpana Gotame, President of the Gold and Silver Dealers Women's Group Chitwan, concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Senior Vice President Sarita Bhattarai Ghatane, and was conducted by General Secretary Manju Bishwakarma.
In the closed session of the general meeting, the annual progress report presented by the group's General Secretary Manju Bishwakarma and the financial report for the fiscal year 2081/082 and the estimated budget for the fiscal year 2082/083 presented by the Treasurer Juna Sunar were passed and approved after clause-by-clause discussion.
