Stop Election Delusions, Answer the People: Gen Z 2.0 Spokesperson Abin Limbu

KATHMANDU — Focusing on the upcoming elections, Gen Z 2.0 has warned candidates coming to seek votes that they must now provide clear answers rather than slogans and promises.

According to a statement released by Gen Z 2.0 spokesperson Abin Limbu, it has been made clear that the old political style of deceiving the public again will no longer be acceptable.

Spokesperson Limbu said, "The common Nepalese people are no longer silent spectators. Every candidate coming to ask for votes must openly present their plans, assets, and past accountability before the public. Candidates who cannot provide answers do not deserve the vote."

Gen Z 2.0 has demanded public answers from candidates regarding their action plans for the first 100 days, public disclosure of assets and income, their stance on corruption within their own party, concrete plans for unemployed youth, clear policies on education and health, and past unfulfilled commitments.

Similarly, Gen Z 2.0 maintains that candidates must be ready to conduct regular public accountability programs with the people even after the election and accept civic oversight.

Speaking on the election environment, spokesperson Limbu issued a stern warning to relevant authorities to immediately stop violence, threats, the misuse of money, and the suppression by state machinery. "Elections must be peaceful, fair, and free from fear. Suppression under any pretext will not be accepted," he clarified.

Gen Z 2.0 has demanded that issues related to youth should not be limited to manifestos but should be backed by written public commitments before the election.

A warning has also been given that if clear action plans regarding employment, education reform, the end of corruption, and a directly accountable governance system are not presented, the path of protest will be chosen.

"This election is not a normal process. It is an opportunity for the people to challenge the old, failed politics," spokesperson Limbu said. "If the people's demands are ignored, Gen Z 2.0 will not back down from creating democratic pressure from the streets to the parliament within the framework of the constitution."

The news mentions that Gen Z 2.0 has warned that the public will now question, demand accountability, and, if necessary, shake the foundations of power.
