Harikrishna Gajurel and Miraj Dhungana Reach 4-Point Agreement for Joint Action

Kathmandu: A formal agreement has been reached between Harikrishna Gajurel, Coordinator of the Communist Socialist Party of Nepal, and Miraj Dhungana, Coordinator of the Joint Gen Z Movement Group, to pursue operational unity. On Saturday, both parties signed a four-point agreement, establishing a foundation for new cooperation in contemporary political movements.

Acknowledging the country’s complex political, economic, and social situation, both sides concluded that joint struggle is essential to overcome the current crisis.

The first point of the agreement emphasizes mobilizing all-party consensus to work toward forming an interim government, with the expectation of ending the ongoing political deadlock and moving the country toward stable governance.

The second point commits both parties to jointly pursue the demands raised by the Joint Gen Z Movement. These include addressing youth dissatisfaction, unemployment, lack of opportunities, and political representation as a shared agenda.

The third point focuses on constitutional amendment and review as per public demand, forming a stable government, establishing a special judicial body against corruption, and jointly striving for progressive state restructuring. Both sides interpret this as the basis for long-term political reform.

The fourth point clearly states the commitment to carry out joint movements and programs to achieve the agreed demands. If necessary, phased protests, pressure-based programs, and strategies to expand public support will be implemented collaboratively.

The agreement was signed by Miraj Dhungana on behalf of the Joint Gen Z Movement and Harikrishna Gajurel on behalf of the Communist Socialist Party of Nepal. Both leaders described the agreement as the beginning of a crucial unity under current circumstances.

This operational unity is expected to bring new momentum to both street and political agendas in the coming days.
