Emotional Teej Song "Kasto Mero Juni" Highlights Women's Suffering in Nepali Society
Pokhara – On the occasion of the great Hindu festival Haritalika Teej, a touching song titled "Kasto Mero Juni" (How is My Life) has been released. Featuring Pokhara-based artist Muna Debkota, the song portrays the social pain and suffering of Nepali women in a deeply emotional manner.
The song depicts a husband's tendency to manage his wife at home while chasing after other young women and indulging in intoxication. According to Muna Debkota, who is the songwriter, director, and lead actress of the video, the song aims to shed light on the injustice and suffering faced by women in Nepali society.
Though the song had been completed two years ago, the opportunity to release it came this year. Debkota expressed her gratitude to everyone who supported the project. The song features vocals by Poornakala B.C., music by Narayan Gyawali, and is directed by Muna Debkota herself. The video was shot by Ganesh Sapkota and edited by Subash Angai.
The music video has now been released and is available for viewers on various digital platforms.
