Traffic Police Penalize 1,279 Drivers in 24 Hours

Kathmandu: Traffic police have penalized 1,279 vehicle drivers over the last 24 hours. According to the traffic police, during checks conducted across various locations in the Kathmandu Valley up until Friday morning, actions were taken against 69 drivers for drunk driving, 76 identified via CCTV, and 59 drivers for running red lights.

Similarly, traffic police reported taking action against 145 drivers for speeding, 36 for violating horn prohibition rules, 64 for lane violations, 26 for operating vehicles in poor condition, 34 for driving the wrong way on one-way streets, and 770 drivers for various other traffic offenses.
