New Awareness Song by Doctor and Artist Dr. Bhola Rijal Released
Kathmandu. A patriotic song titled 'Andhakar Panchhayera' (Clearing the Darkness), written by the prestigious gynecologist Dr. Bhola Rijal, has been released for listeners and viewers. The music video features the vocals of Shiva Pariyar and music by Shankar Thapa ‘Smile’.
Directed by Birendra Bhat ‘Bipin’, the video features performances by senior artist Ramesh Budhathoki, Dr. Nabin Yadav, Bishnu Rokka, Jayant Regmi, and Sushil Shrestha. Presented by Sarala Rijal, the video was filmed by Mahesh Mahara and edited by Birendra himself.
Released in consideration of the country’s current situation, the song serves as a powerful call for awareness. Produced by Worldcover Media and created under BR Production, the music video is now available to the public.
Dr. Rijal states that he brought this patriotic song to the audience with the belief that we should move forward united rather than divided. The song conveys a message to join hands in national development and advocate for change, calling out, "Wake up youth, wake up, and engage in nation-building."
Dr. Bhola Rijal is a triple talent in lyrics, music, and vocals. His first recorded song (written in 2020 B.S) is ‘Ma Mandina Jaat ra Dharma Kasailo’, while his first recorded vocal performance is the 2026 B.S song ‘Mero Pauwa Pati’. This song, which features his own lyrics, music, and vocals, has become a significant document in his musical history.
Dr. Rijal was born on Kartik 24 2004 B.S, in the old market of Dharan as the third child of Janani Prasad Rijal and Purnamaya Rijal. He was active in various fields from a young age.
Alongside literature, he had a special interest in social work and sports activities. While preparing for his SLC exams at the age of 15, Dr. Bhola Rijal married 12-year-old Sarala Ghimire. Inheriting a genetic predisposition for art and literature, both his grandfather Dhruvalal and father Janani Prasad Rijal possessed excellent literary skills.
Dr. Rijal studied at Dharan Public School until grade nine and completed his SLC from Biratnagar. His group used to travel to Birpur, Jogbani, and Forbesganj in India to perform plays like ‘Kanunki Aankheme’ from Himkala Mandir.
After SLC, Rijal went to Varanasi to study I.Sc., where he continued his artistic pursuits. To date, he has written more than 3,500 songs, and over 300 songs have been recorded in his voice. His songwriting career spans nearly six decades.
Despite being a doctor by profession, artist and creator Rijal has remained dedicated to literary creation. He has published 13 music albums, including ‘Mero Pauwa Pati, Ishwar Aafai Bolchha, Meri Sannani, Shuvakamana, Sagarmatha Roiirahechha, Sarangiko Taar Tutyo, Yatra, and Popcorn’.
Additionally, he has produced eight feature films such as ‘Laxmi Puja’, ‘Chhori Buhari’, ‘Juntara’, ‘Sathi’, ‘Ek Numbarko Pakhe’, ‘Apsara’, ‘Ukali-Orali’, and ‘Gauthali’, contributing stories and lyrics to them. Among these, ‘Gauthali’ is a musical film that conveys a message about women's rights and the importance of educating daughters.
Dr. Rijal has dozens of hit songs like ‘Malai Pani Angrejima Bolna Sikaideu Na’, ‘Nidharma Rato Mato Shirma Topi Rakhen’, and ‘Bhagera Bhaye Pani Aau’. Currently, Dr. Rijal continues to be involved in songwriting and writing his biography.
