Who stirred Deuba's greed? Limbu alleges enemies surround Deuba

Kathmandu - Deu Prasad Limbu, who was recommended as a candidate for the House of Representatives from Nepali Congress Jhapa Constituency No. 3, has raised serious questions regarding the current role of Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba, stating that the identification and investigation of "elements who whisper in his ear" is necessary.

Writing on the social media platform Facebook, Limbu expressed suspicion regarding President Deuba's political behavior observed after his medical treatment in Singapore. He raised questions about whether there was an effect from some medicine in Singapore or if someone "filled Deuba's ears" out of self-interest upon his return to Nepal, forcing him to change his decisions.

According to him, although President Deuba had given Purna Bahadur Khadka the responsibility of Acting President during his treatment, a greed and hunger for leadership seemed to have awakened after his return. He alleges that certain elements carrying personal or family interests are active behind this.

"The elements filling Deuba's ears have done no good for either the country or the party. It is clear that such elements are conspiring to split the party," Limbu wrote.

He urged President Deuba to renounce greed and hunger and requested him to present himself as a guardian not just of the party, but of the entire country. Mentioning that the thousands of workers participating in the special convention are not Deuba's enemies but his friends and well-wishers, he claimed that the real enemies are actually surrounding Deuba.

"All the workers gathered at Bhrikutimandap are your friends. It is necessary to recognize the people surrounding you who provide wrong advice," Limbu wrote.

At a time when the debate over a special convention is intensifying within the Nepali Congress, this expression by Limbu has further brought internal dissatisfaction and questions regarding the leadership to the surface.
