MG Motor’s New Mini-Mercedes Inspired Electric SUV ‘Cyber X’ Ready for Launch

Kathmandu – MG Motor is preparing to launch its new compact, family-friendly electric SUV, Cyber X, within the next two years. The vehicle features a mini-Mercedes-style boxy and angular design, making it suitable for urban driving as well as light off-road use.
Cyber X was first showcased as a bold concept at the Shanghai Auto Show. According to MG’s Product and Planning Head David Allison, “This car is like the spiritual successor of the Suzuki Jimny, combining city-friendly dimensions with a light off-road-inspired design.”
Key Features
Design & Interior: Five-door boxy layout with modern, minimal interior. Large central touchscreen, fully digital instrument cluster, and ample headroom and legroom for family comfort.
Battery & Performance: Modern EV technology with a semi-solid-state battery. Estimated range up to 482 km, with single-motor front-wheel-drive for most models and all-wheel-drive available in higher-spec versions.
Budget-Friendly: Global starting price expected below £30,000, targeting customers seeking a compact SUV with modern EV tech and practical urban usability.
