CPN-UML Leader Mahesh Basnet Calls Government's Move to File Money Laundering Cases an 'Unnecessary Stunt'
Kathmandu.
CPN-UML leader Mahesh Basnet has labeled the government's preparation to file money laundering cases against three former Prime Ministers and three former Ministers as 'unnecessary stunt' and 'drama'. In a post on social media, leader Basnet expressed strong dissatisfaction with the government's action.
Targeting specifically UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, he claimed, "KP Sharma Oli jyu (honorific) has already dedicated his wealth to the nation a long time ago."
If the government is in a hurry to search for Oli's 'remaining property,' Basnet sarcastically remarked, "Go and check the houses in Balkot that were burnt under your own plan and the libraries that turned into ash. That is his property."
He asserted that Oli's real wealth is his 'unwavering dedication to the country, people, and principles,' and warned the current government to "stop the unnecessary stunt."
