Birgunj – Drinking Water Crisis Caused by Drought Due to Climate Change Will Be Resolved Soon: Minister Pradeep Yadav

Minister for Drinking Water, Pradeep Yadav, has said that the drinking water shortage caused by drought resulting from climate change will be resolved soon.
While conducting on-site inspections and monitoring in various wards of Birgunj Metropolitan City today, Minister Yadav stated that he is taking the issue of drinking water seriously.
"Deep borings have already been installed in hundreds of areas including Birgunj and the Terai–Madhes region," Minister Yadav said. "The installation of deep borings has also started in other affected areas, and the problem will soon be resolved."
Officials from the Nepal Water Supply Corporation also accompanied Minister Yadav during the inspection. The team monitored several areas including Shripur, Ranighat, Om Ashram, Murli, Radhemai, Pandit Tole, Pipra, Laxmanuwa, Tajpur, Koiria, Ramgadhwa, Dry Port, Alau, and Gadhirawa.
Observing the conditions in areas suffering from a severe shortage of drinking water, Minister Yadav emphasized that water is a basic necessity for the people and assured that no effort would be spared to resolve the crisis.
"We are working in coordination with local governments to find sustainable solutions through long-term planning and resource mobilization," said Minister Yadav. "In this time of crisis, we seek the support and cooperation of all."
