Bhanubhakta Jayanti Grandly Celebrated with Creator Felicitation and Organizer Poetry Competition

Kathmandu / On the occasion of the 212th Bhanubhakta Jayanti–2082 and the Martyr Manoj–Jhapendra–Surendra Memorial Day, a grand program titled “Creator Felicitation and Valley-Wide Organizer Poetry Competition” was successfully conducted under the initiation of the Central Committee of the Nepal Civil Servants’ Organization and managed by the Central Extracurricular Activities Department.
The program was chaired by the organization’s Central President Bhawani Neupane Dahal and was graced by the Chief Guest Pradeep Gyawali, Deputy General Secretary of CPN (UML), Politburo member, and renowned literary figure. The event saw notable participation from the judging panel, honored creators, guest poets, office bearers from various levels of the organization, provincial in-charges and co-in-charges, coordinators and members of commissions, district and departmental representatives, poetry competition participants, as well as child poet and singer Paridhi Khatriwada. The program was conducted by the organization’s General Secretary Ramchandra Adhikari, and the guests were welcomed by Kamala Dahal, coordinator of the Central Extracurricular Department.
Three distinguished figures symbolizing long-standing literary dedication were specially honored with a shawl and certificate of appreciation — 95-year-old former administrator and senior literary figure Maheshwar Sharma, former minister and writer Shanta Manavi, and former administrator and senior literary figure Pratik Dhakal. The organization offered the “Creator Felicitation” as an expression of gratitude for their contributions.
A major highlight of the program was the organizer poetry recitation competition. Out of 31 submissions, 15 selected poems were publicly recited. In the competition, Anju Neupane secured first place, Govinda came second, and Niraj Dahal came third. They were awarded NPR 9,000, 6,000, and 3,000 respectively, along with certificates of recognition. The competition was judged by esteemed literary personalities including Prof. Dr. Devi Nepal, academician Narmadeshwari Satyal, Dr. Ramesh Shubhechchhu, and poet Ganesh Ghimire, whose presence added further dignity and credibility to the event, as noted by participants.
The event also featured special appearances from guest poets such as Dr. Bidhan Acharya, Sushila Pradhanang, Jibnath Adhikari, and Dambar Ghimire. Their emotionally charged and socially conscious poems infused the entire atmosphere with creative energy, according to attendees.
Participants expressed that the program strengthened literary interest, creativity, and organizational unity among civil servants. The Nepal Civil Servants’ Organization has set an inspiring example in organizational development through literary activities by bringing forth the internal talents of public servants.
