'Batulo Joon' Filming Begins, Bhuwan - Anmol KC's 'Action Cut' Comeback
Kathmandu. The film 'Batulo Joon,' being produced under the banner of Sunrise Pictures Pvt. Ltd., has officially been inaugurated. The production unit hit the floor on Friday after performing a puja (worship) of the camera and script at the Baglamukhi Temple in Patan.
Actor and director Bhuwan KC is making his 'Action Cut' comeback with this film, nearly 10 years after the release of his last movie, 'Dreams.' Star actor Anmol KC will play the lead role in the film, supported by actresses Princy Khatiwada and Nancy Khadka.
Bhuwan KC himself will also be playing a major role in 'Batulo Joon.' The cast also includes Prakash Ghimire, Reer Rai, Deepak KC, Shweta Mishra, Laxmi Giri, Sharada Giri, Laxminath Timilsina, Shishir Siwakoti, Arpana Ghatani, Bibika Paudel, and Kamal Devkota.
Director KC stated that the film will be based on a pure love story set in a rural environment. Producer Jiya KC said, "The audience will get to see Anmol in a different look and avatar than what they have seen him in before. We are confident that this film will tell the story of Nepali society, the story of every family, and the unique story of the younger generation."
Jiya KC is partnering with Bhavishya Khadka in the production of 'Batulo Joon.' Khadka is the producer of the recent hit film 'Jerry On Top.' When asked about the investment, Khadka said that there would be no compromise for the production of a good and excellent film.
Actor Anmol KC stated in a roundabout way that he is connecting with this film to uphold his father's legacy, as he finds himself in the same role and look that his father, Bhuwan KC, portrayed in films like 'Chino,' 'Samjhana,' and 'Kusume Rumal.'
Anmol mentioned that he will be presented differently in terms of speech, language, and many other aspects. He expressed confidence that with the hard work and support of the entire team, he will be able to do justice to the character, and the film will be excellent.
Actresses Princy and Nancy, who introduced themselves as fans of Anmol, said they consider sharing the screen with him as a matter of pride and a learning opportunity.
The production team stated that the film's first schedule is for 45 days of shooting, and it will be filmed in locations including Kathmandu, Dhorpatan, Kavrepalanchok, Chitlang, and Pokhara.
Tej Bikram KC is the Executive Producer of the film, with the screenplay written by Samipyaraj Timilsena and Sarin Pokharel.
