Kathmandu, January 11
As its release date approaches, the promotion of the film 'Bigul' has gained significant momentum. Directed by Ramesh Koirala, the film is set for a nationwide release on Magh 9. While the first-look poster, teaser, and trailer of 'Bigul'—which deals with themes similar to the country's current political situation—have been attracting audience attention, the production team has concluded a promotional tour in Eastern Nepal.
Director Koirala, along with the film's storyteller and producer Dinesh Koirala, reached out to audiences in Biratnagar, Itahari, Dharan, Damak, Birtamod, Hetauda, and Chitwan to deliver the message of the upcoming release. During the week-long tour of the suburbs, the producer and director not only gauged the audience's interest and feedback but also invited everyone to watch the film.
The social organization JCI (Jaycees) has also provided full support for the promotion of the film, which highlights contemporary politics, public concerns, rights, social justice, and family responsibilities.
Alongside the regional tour, the 'Bigul' production team released a folk-style song titled 'Ban ko Koili Banaima Ramayo' on Friday. The song, featuring Yashraj Gachar and Richa Thapa, features vocals by Manish Chaudhary and Shanti Shree Pariyar, lyrics and music by Manoj Chaulagain, and choreography by Kamal Rai.
Producer Koirala stated that they are preparing to visit Central and Western Nepal in the coming days to meet audiences directly.
'Bigul' is being described as a film that tells the story of the common man and calls for the vision of a prosperous Nepal.
The movie stars Benisha Hamal, Naren Khadka, Ramesh Budhathoki, Neer Shah, Saroj Khanal, Hemant Budhathoki, Shishir Wangdel, Binod Neupane, JN Ghimire, Geeta Adhikari, Meera Pandit, and Maanshree Sharma, with senior actor Rabindra Khadka in a special role.
