Janak Education Material Centre Completes 50 Percent of Proportional Representation Ballot Printing
Kathmandu. Janak Education Material Centre, which has been entrusted with printing ballots for the House of Representatives elections scheduled for the upcoming March 5th, has printed 10,230,000 ballots for the proportional representation system so far.
According to details provided by the Centre, 1,313,000 ballots were printed in the last 24 hours alone. A total of 20,830,000 ballots for the proportional representation system must be printed as provided by the Election Commission. The Centre has completed printing 50 percent of the total ballots to date.
Additionally, the Centre has already supplied 1,098,200 ballots to the Commission. In the last 24 hours, the Centre also completed the packing of 1,431 boxes of ballots. A total of 7,841 boxes of ballots have been packed, while 12,989 boxes remain.
Janak Education Material Centre stated that the printing of ballots for the first-past-the-post (direct) system will begin after the completion of candidate nominations, the process for claims and objections, the publication of the final candidate list, and the distribution of election symbols to the candidates.
