Bajura: Voter Education Program Becoming Effective

Bajura. Targeted at the upcoming House of Representatives election on March 5, the voter education program in Bajura is becoming effective.

Currently, voter education programs are being conducted in all nine local levels of the district. The District Election Office, Bajura, has launched this program with the aim of ensuring that voters can exercise their right to vote correctly.

At this time, the election fever has gripped every village and settlement in the district. The Election Office has appointed one voter educator in each ward of the district to inform voters about voting methods and other related matters.

Voter educators are reaching the doorsteps of locals to provide information on the voting process, the method of correctly stamping the ballot paper, precautions to be taken to prevent invalid votes, and the voting schedule.

Mansur padhyay, a local of Badimalika Municipality-7, said that he is now confident about voting after the voter educators provided all the necessary information regarding the process. According to him, while there used to be occasional problems in the past when such programs were not held, it has become easier now that they can learn at home.

Bhim Bahadur Shahi, Chief Election Officer of the District Election Office Bajura, stated that the voter education program is being conducted smoothly and effectively throughout the district. According to him, this program is expected to reduce the number of invalid votes and make the election process more organized.

All materials, including ballot papers for the upcoming election, have already arrived in the district. In Bajura, candidates from seven parties, including one independent, are in the election fray. There will be 118 polling centers across 77 polling stations in the district.

Among them, 62 have been classified as highly sensitive, 12 as sensitive, and others as normal. There are a total of 87,861 voters in the district. Among them, 42,431 are female, 42,428 are male, and two others, according to the District Election Office, Bajura.
