Bajura Election Preparations and Temporary Voters

Bajura. For the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5, 1,482 temporary voters have been registered in Bajura. The District Election Office, Bajura, has published the final list of temporary voters targeting the upcoming election. This list includes government employees and security personnel.

A single polling station has been designated for temporary voters in the district. This center will be located at the Division Forest Office in the headquarters, Martadi. Temporary voters will only be allowed to cast their votes for the proportional representation category of the House of Representatives election. The District Election Office, Bajura, stated that there is no provision for them to vote for first-past-the-post candidates.

The temporary voter list includes government employees, Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, detainees and prisoners in jail, election staff and security personnel on duty, individuals in government-approved nursing homes, and other persons designated by the Commission.

Preparations for the House of Representatives election in Bajura are almost complete. More than 700 election staff have been deployed in the district. According to the District Election Office, Bajura, there are 87,861 voters in the district, including 42,431 women, 45,428 men, and 2 others.

Chief District Officer and head of the District Security Committee, Dorendra Niraula, stated that 62 polling stations in Bajura are classified as highly sensitive, 12 as sensitive, and 3 as normal. Candidates from seven parties, including one independent, are in the electoral race in Bajura, with the main competition expected among the Nepali Congress, UML, NCP, and RSP.
