Family Movie ‘Ba-Aama’ Coming Soon Based on Tanka Budhathoki’s Story

Kathmandu — Singer and composer Tanka Budhathoki is set to produce a new Nepali movie titled ‘Ba-Aama’. His first movie, ‘Man Binako Dhan’, successfully earned around 40 million rupees (4 crore) at the box office.

Child singer Ashok Darji and Tanka’s son, AR Budhathoki, will feature again in this new movie. Budhathoki shared that the selection process for other actors is still ongoing. According to him, the movie title has already been registered with the Film Development Board.

The story is written by Tanka Budhathoki himself, while the screenplay and dialogues are being written by Shivam Adhikari. Budhathoki mentioned that the script is almost finished. "The scriptwriting is in its final stage. After that, we will start choosing the actors," he said. "We plan to start filming from next Baisakh."

The movie’s story is inspired by Tanka Budhathoki’s popular song ‘Ba-Aama’. Reflecting on the positive feedback from his first film, he stated that he aims to improve upon previous mistakes and create an even better movie this time.

The film is named after his hit song ‘Ba-Aama’, which was released about five years ago. Previously, he also named his debut movie after his hit song ‘Man Binako Dhan’. ‘Ba-Aama’ will be based on a family and social story. Produced under Tanka Budhathoki Productions, the movie will be produced by Bishnumaya Mainali.
