Dhading-1 Candidate Asika Tamang Issues Clarification Against Disinformation
Kathmandu. Asika Tamang, a candidate from Dhading Constituency No. 1, has expressed serious objection to news reports published in various media outlets claiming that her candidacy was canceled. Through social media, she clarified that such reports are completely misleading and false.
Tamang stated that her attention was drawn to news titled "Asika Tamang's candidacy canceled" published by some media houses during the final stages of the election, and she clarified that her candidacy remains intact.
She also claimed that the repeated allegations calling her a "foreigner" are false and baseless. "I am a citizen of this country. The Constitution of Nepal has given me the full right to vote and to be a candidate," she mentioned on social media.
Tamang alleged that misinformation was spread in a planned manner to weaken her at the last moment and informed that she has already sought legal remedies regarding this matter.
Urging voters not to fall for any misleading news, she appealed to them to vote with confidence. "I am your own daughter and candidate. Change is possible only through your discreet vote," she said. As the competition in Dhading Constituency No. 1 becomes more intense, candidate Tamang expressed her belief that truth will prevail.
