Upgrading Seti Hospital and Starting MBBS at Geta: Ale's Main Election Agenda

Kailali: As the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21 approaches, election fever is intensifying in Kailali District Constituency No. 5. In this context, Prem Bahadur Ale, a central leader of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and former Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, is seen busy in his election campaign.

Leader Ale, who is a candidate from Kailali Constituency No. 5, has been intensifying public contact over the past few weeks by visiting villages, neighborhoods, and settlements within his constituency to meet voters directly.

As part of the campaign, Ale has been continuing various activities including the inauguration of ward contact offices, meetings with party workers, and door-to-door programs. It is reported that he is working to win the trust of voters by understanding the joys and sorrows of the local people while making public the development works he has done in the past and his plans for the future.

For the House of Representatives election on Falgun 21, 15 candidates have filed their nominations in Kailali-5. Major political parties have fielded their influential candidates. Nar Narayan Shah (Manu) from the Nepali Congress, Yagya Raj Dhungana from the CPN (UML), Prem Bahadur Ale from the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), and Anand Bahadur Chand from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) are among the candidates.

The electoral competition in this region is being watched with great interest. Leader Ale, who has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives three times from Doti district and has held responsibilities in various ministries, is a candidate from the new constituency of Kailali-5 this time. He was elected from the CPN (UML) in 2070 and 2074, and from the CPN (Unified Socialist) in 2079. This time, the NCP has fielded him from Kailali-5.

During his election campaign, leader Ale has been presenting the works he did for Kailali district while serving as a minister in the past as his major achievements. He has claimed that while serving as the Forest Minister after being elected from Doti, he played a significant role in controlling timber smuggling by cancelling the scientific forest management program to stop deforestation in the Chure region, including Kailali.

Similarly, he stated that he contributed to saving the lives of citizens by arranging oxygen at Seti Provincial Hospital during the difficult time of the COVID-19 pandemic. He has also been mentioning that budget was allocated for the Behada Baba Temple for the development of the religious and cultural sector, and budget was allocated to develop Dhangadhi Airport as a regional international airport, where new physical structures like terminals and baggage belts have already been constructed.

Former Minister Ale says, "I have done many development works in Kailali district when I was a minister in the past. I am a person dedicated to the service of the people. The development I have done is clearly visible to the people."

Announcing his commitments for the upcoming term, Ale stated that his goals include upgrading Seti Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi, starting MBBS level classes at Geta Medical College, and completing the construction of Phapla Stadium within five years.

Likewise, he clarified that completing the task of making Dhangadhi a regional international airport and constructing a strategic road connecting Dhangadhi's Zero Point through Khutiya and Dipayal to Urai Bhanjyang in Bajhang are his major agendas.

"It is my dream to make Dhangadhi a regional international airport and connect the remote districts of Sudurpashchim through a road network," Ale said. "I have entered the election field to ask for the people's vote once again to complete these works."

As the election atmosphere heats up, there is growing curiosity about who the voters of Kailali-5 will trust. Based on development work, experience, and commitment, Prem Bahadur Ale is intensifying his efforts to win the hearts of the voters.
