International Accounting Day Celebrated in Pokhara with AI Interaction
Pokhara,November 11 | The International Accounting Day was celebrated in Pokhara under the organization of the Pokhara branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN).
While International Accounting Day is celebrated every year on November 10, the branch marked the occasion this year by hosting an interaction on "Accounting Profession and AI."
The interaction saw the participation of Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors related to the accounting profession, as well as representatives from the local Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
The event was attended by Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Gokarna Karki, Lekhnath Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Januka Parajuli Adhikari, and Nepal Youth Entrepreneur Forum Pokhara Chapter President Sumej Rajbhandari, among others.
Chartered Accountant Durga Prasad Gyawali, a member of the Nepal Accounting Standards Board, presented a working paper on "Accounting Profession and AI." He stated that the use of AI will facilitate data analysis, save time, and make detailed study easier in the accounting profession.
He also taught the technical aspects of using AI and informed participants that to obtain accurate and reliable details from it, one must present corresponding details and questions.
The program was presided over by Chartered Accountant Ubek Shrestha, the coordinator of the ICAN Pokhara Branch. It was conducted by Chartered Accountant Sagar Acharya, a member of the Branch Coordination Committee, and welcomed by Chartered Accountant Madan Pokhrel, a committee member.
Participants at the event expressed interest in how to integrate new AI-related technologies with their professions and businesses.
Registered Auditor Chandra Bahadur Subedi, a branch member, informed that more than 50 people enthusiastically participated in the program.
