'Abhimanyu: Chapter-1' gets 500 shows in Australia and New Zealand

Kathmandu. The film 'Abhimanyu: Chapter-1' has received a historic number of shows in Australia and New Zealand. Set for release starting December 11, the film has secured more than five hundred shows in its first week in Australia and New Zealand.

"'Abhimanyu: Chapter-1' has received more than five hundred shows in Australia and New Zealand in the very first week," said Ramesh Chaulagain, co-producer of Abhimanyu. "Given the high audience demand, more shows will be added."

'Abhimanyu: Chapter-1' is set to open in Australia and New Zealand this Thursday. "The film has received good reviews in Nepal. Critics have called it an excellent film in the genre of cinema," said co-producer Chaulagain. "We are confident that the effect of the reviews here will be seen in the diaspora market."

He stated that securing so many shows for a Nepali film in the foreign market is a matter of joy in itself. He also added that this is a positive aspect for the entire Nepali film industry.

Directed by Sushant Gautam, Abhimanyu is also enjoying a good audience turnout in Nepal today. Released last Thursday, the film has seen high audience occupancy in the shows made available by the cinemas today.

Creating suspense for most of its runtime, 'Abhimanyu: Chapter-1' tells the story of the dowry system, a persistent problem in the Madhesh region. Secondly, it shows how Nepali society is easily resorting to various schemes for easy money these days. 

It is not easy for filmmakers to tell a realistic story of society while creating suspense. However, the audience who have seen Abhimanyu themselves are reporting that the film holds their attention very well.

The audience who watched Abhimanyu have demanded a sequel. Since the makers initially titled it 'Chapter-1,' a sequel is surely expected. The audience's demand has encouraged the makers to create a sequel.

Madan Thapa is the Creative Director of this film. Mukesh Khanal is credited with the screenplay.

The producers of 'Abhimanyu: Chapter 1' are Binod Poudel and Gunjan Giri. Ramesh Chaulagain and Hari Shrestha are co-producers, while Bishal Lama, Hari Moktan, Krishna Bhattarai, Nirajan Luitel, and Sandesh Shrestha are the executive producers. Jeevan Shakya is the line producer of the cinema.

Sharad Mahato is the DOP (Director of Photography) for this film, with Manoj Shrestha handling the VFX, Junim Ghataraj for color grading, and Madan Ghimire as the editor.
