30+ Top US Universities to Offer Direct Admissions and Scholarships at Kathmandu Education Fair

KATHMANDU — More than 30 leading American universities are set to participate in a landmark education fair in Kathmandu, offering Nepali students direct admissions and exclusive scholarships. Organized by EDF Jamboree, the fair will be held on August 29, 2025, at Jamboree Education Nepal, Putalisadak — marking the largest-ever gathering of US academic institutions in Nepal.

The one-day event will connect students directly with admissions officers, scholarship programs, and on-the-spot application processing that usually takes months. University representatives will also conduct on-site interviews, profile evaluations, and issue conditional admission offers to qualified candidates.

“This is a transformative moment for Nepal’s education sector,” said a senior official from Jamboree Education Nepal. “Never before have so many prestigious US universities come together for a single event here. It highlights the recognition of Nepali students’ academic excellence worldwide.”

The fair comes amid a surge in demand for US higher education among Nepali students, with applications rising by 40% over the past two years.

Highlights of the Fair

  • Virtual Campus Tours showcasing university life
  • STEM-focused sessions for science and technology aspirants
  • Business school and liberal arts showcases
  • Exclusive scholarship packages for Nepali students

The event is supported by Mpower Finance, Cathay Pacific Airways, and Prime Bank, with testing partner ETS TOEFL assisting in preparation, financial planning, and travel for successful applicants.

The fair runs from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with free entry. However, advance registration is required due to limited capacity.

With over 15 years of experience and more than 5,000 student placements globally, EDF Jamboree continues to stand as Nepal’s leading educational consultancy for overseas studies.
