Vinod and Raj Gurung Appointed as Board Directors of We Will Rise Foundation

We Will Rise Foundation (WWRF) has appointed Vinod Gurung and Raj Gurung as its new board directors.

The foundation stated that Vinod and Raj have been included on the board with the aim of expanding and strengthening social activities based in Hong Kong. Both businessmen, based in Hong Kong, have long been active in social campaigns. Vinod is also the president of the social organization Siddhartha Family, which operates in Hong Kong.

The foundation’s founding president, Tulsi Gurung, handed over the appointment letters to the two during a ceremony held in Hong Kong on Monday. The event was attended by board directors Nirmal Shrestha and Suraj Gurung, along with journalists based in Hong Kong.

According to the foundation, Vinod and Raj’s entrepreneurship, business experience, and commitment to social engagement in both Nepal and Hong Kong are expected to further strengthen WWRF’s vision and initiatives.

Raj, newly appointed as a board director, successfully climbed Mount Everest, the world’s highest peak, last year. The foundation sees this achievement as a symbol of courage, discipline, and leadership skills.

Established after the earthquake, the We Will Rise Foundation has been actively involved in various social activities.
