Video X-Ray Service at Family Planning Association
Pokhara, September 25 — Nepal Family Planning Association, Kaski, has started offering video X-ray (USG) services from Thursday.
The service was inaugurated by Nabin Sigdel, President of Nepal Family Planning Association, Kaski, at the association’s office located at Pokhara-12, Upakar Marg.
While inaugurating the service, Sigdel stated that it has been launched with the welfare of service recipients in mind.
“Providing quality service is our priority,” he said. “The situation of referring patients elsewhere due to the lack of this service has now ended.”
Senior Branch Manager, Nawaraj Tiwari, informed that the service has been initiated with the support of the Gandaki Provincial Government.
The service will be provided by Dr. Keshav Sharma, Head of the Radiology Department at Gandaki Medical College.
Currently, the branch provides services related to family planning, safe abortion, safe motherhood, counseling and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, HIV testing and counseling, preliminary testing and counseling for cervical cancer, counseling and treatment for sexual and gender-based violence, as well as all services related to sexual and reproductive health, including laboratory services.
