Vaccine Secured for Birgunj Cholera Outbreak, Says Pradip Paudel
Kathmandu. Nepali Congress leader and former Health Minister Pradip Paudel has announced that efforts to secure cholera vaccines for the Birgunj Metropolitan area have been successful.
He informed that approximately one million (10 lakh) doses of the anti-cholera vaccine will be made available for the affected areas in Parsa and Bara districts next week.
In a post shared on social media, leader Paudel stated that the initiative to provide the vaccines has now materialized.
He highlighted that the main goal is to reduce the high risk of the cholera epidemic, control the outbreak, and protect future generations from the disease in the affected regions.
Paudel also expressed his sincere gratitude to the officials at the Department of Health Services and the Ministry for their tireless efforts in making the vaccines available.
It is expected that the distribution of the vaccines will commence in the cholera-hit areas of Parsa and Bara as soon as they arrive.
