Health Emergency Mechanism Activated in View of Budhigandaki Flood

Kathmandu. The Health Emergency Operation Centre (HEOC) has been activated in view of the massive flood in the Budhigandaki River and its continuously rising water level in the Chumanubri Rural Municipality area of Gorkha.

The Ministry of Health and Food Hygiene stated that the center has been activated to coordinate and prepare for providing necessary health services, emergency medical treatment, and health assistance in the flood-affected areas.

The Ministry has urged citizens living along the banks of vulnerable rivers, including the Budhigandaki, to stay on high alert, move from high-risk locations to safer areas, and take necessary precautions to stay safe from potential disaster.

If health services, emergency medical treatment, or any other health-related assistance is required in the flood-affected area, people can contact 1115.
