Three Angel Nepal Concludes Awareness Program Against Human Trafficking in East Chitwan
Rapti – An awareness program against human trafficking was concluded in Rapti, East Chitwan.
The program, organized by Three Angel Nepal, East Chitwan at Lothar, Rapti-1, was attended by the Chief of the Temporary Police Check Post Rapti, Gopi Bahadur Blon, as the chief guest.
Other guests included Hom Bahadur Rumba, Chairman of the Lothar Tol Development Organization, social worker Dambar Bahadur Dhungana, and traffic police officer Balaram Thapa Magar.
Addressing the program, Chief Guest Blon said:
"To reduce human trafficking and smuggling, not just the state, but all three levels of government must be serious. Gender violence is also a major reason why such heinous crimes are increasing daily. If the public does not take precautions in time, it will have a major impact on society."
Police officer Blon provided training on the risks posed by human trafficking and smuggling, prevention methods, and legal provisions to the participants, which included representatives from the Rapti Municipality's women's wing, transport entrepreneurs, and hotel businesses.
Furthermore, the program participants committed to staying in constant contact with the police to raise awareness in the community about any criminal activities and work towards their reduction.
The program, presided over by Prem Bahadur Khulal, Vice-Chairman of the Parewashwori Community Forest, was moderated by Sunita Silwal, Coordinator of Three Angel Nepal, East Chitwan.
