6th "Tharu Maghi Festival" in Sydney, Australia
Sydney, Australia. Tharu Society Sydney Australia, which was established in 2018 to maintain brotherhood among Tharus living in Australia and preserve Tharu art, culture, and festivals, is celebrating this year's Maghi festival with great joy in Sydney, following the continuity of the past five Maghi festivals.
According to information provided by Public Officer Arun Aryan Chaudhary on behalf of the society, the program is being held on the upcoming Thursday, January 15 (Tharu Sambat 2649, Magh 1/Maghe Sankranti) from 5 PM to 10 PM at the Indreni Function Centre, Rockdale.
Tharu Society of Australia has cordially requested the entire Tharu community as well as all Nepali brothers and sisters to attend the program, which will feature a performance by singer Sabin Chaudhary along with Tharu customs like the Lathi dance, Jhumra dance, Tharu ramp walk, and other dances, including Tharu cuisine and drinks. The entry fee for the program has been set at $25.
