Sushila Basnet Timilsina Releases New Teej Song "Teej Aayo Sathi Sangi"
Kathmandu – A new song titled “Teej Aayo Sathi Sangi” has been released targeting the grand Nepali women’s festival, Haritalika Teej. Sung by Boston-based singer Sushila Basnet Timilsina, the song is available on her official YouTube channel.
Composed in a traditional Nepali style, the lyrics and music are by Rawal Janak, with arrangement and audio mixing by Sandeep Karki and Manoj Pariyar respectively. The recording was done by Bikram Thapa in Nepal and Om Karmaacharya in the USA.
The music video is directed by Keshav Raj Bhatt and features performances by Juna Karki and Nitya Sharma Acharya. Shot in both Nepal and the United States, the video highlights the cultural significance of the Teej festival.
Sushila Basnet, though residing abroad, has remained active in the Nepali music scene. She has previously released songs such as "Radha Krishna," "Timro Mayako," and "Meri Maa." With this latest release, she continues to showcase Nepali tradition and celebration to audiences worldwide.
