Science and Technology Creations of Students from 9 Countries Displayed in One Place

The international “Global STEAM for SDG Summit – 2025” has been underway in Kathmandu since Friday. The summit began on Friday at the Ramada Hotel in Dhumbahari, Kathmandu.

The three-day summit, running from Friday to Sunday, is organized by Malaysia’s “TMP Little Scientist Research Academy” and Nepal’s “Benchmark International.”

On the second day of the global summit, Saturday, the focus was on the exhibition. Students showcased various inventions and creations at 40 stalls, where many visitors observed their work. The creations of students from nine countries were presented, focusing on science, technology, environment, and management.

Although students from 15 countries participated in the summit, only nine countries’ students were physically present to display their creations. They presented science, technology, mathematics, innovation, and green city projects both as models and as direct products.

Among the nine countries with physical participation, the exhibitions by Nepalese and Malaysian students were the largest.

Along with these two countries, students from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Oman, Spain, and Egypt displayed their inventions at the exhibition. Additionally, students from six countries participated online.

During Saturday’s exhibition ceremony, special guests—Mohammad Firdous Bin Azman, Consular of the Malaysian Embassy to Nepal, and Ashok Kumar Byanjan, Mayor of Dhulikhel Municipality—congratulated the students for their outstanding creations and wished them a bright future. The exhibition was observed by many visitors.

On the first day of the summit, Friday evening, a cultural program was organized at the same hotel. Artists and students from Nepal and Malaysia performed songs, music, and dances from their respective countries, fostering cultural exchange.

The organizers also informed that students with outstanding creations at the exhibition will receive awards and an opportunity to visit Malaysia.

According to Ajay Pun, director of Benchmark International Nepal, the summit will conclude on Sunday with various programs at the same venue. During the closing ceremony, the best creations presented at the summit will receive first, second, third, and consolation prizes.

Dr. Jayamalini, President of the Malaysian organizing body “TMP Little Scientist Research Academy Malaysia,” said that last year the summit was held in Malaysia. Following its success, it has been organized in Nepal this time.

She also mentioned that students from various countries were included in this competition based on the Sustainable Development Goals. She noted that such competitions provide significant inspiration for students to pursue new inventions.

If you want, I can also make a concise, publication-ready version in English that’s more engaging for international readers. This version would be shorter, easier to read, and still keep all key information.
