National Weather Update: Rainfall and Snowfall Predicted

Kathmandu: Currently, Nepal is under the partial influence of westerly winds, a high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere, and a low-pressure area in the lower atmosphere near the eastern part of the country.

At present, it is generally cloudy in the Himalayan regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, while the rest of the country is partly cloudy. Light rain is occurring at one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi Province.

This afternoon, it will be generally cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, including Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, with the rest of the country being partly cloudy. There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in some places of the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. 

Similar conditions are expected in a few places of the hilly and Himalayan regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces, as well as Madhesh Province, and in one or two places of the Terai regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

Tonight, it will be generally cloudy in the hilly regions of the country, including Koshi Province, while the rest of the country will be partly cloudy. There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning in some places of Koshi Province, a few places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and one or two places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces.
