Oli Acknowledges Unexpected Election Results, Vows to Respect Public Mandate

Kathmandu: Former Prime Minister and Chairman of the CPN (UML), KP Sharma Oli, has acknowledged that the recent election results did not meet expectations and stated that he respects the decision of the people. Responding via the social media platform Facebook, Oli mentioned that he was unable to achieve the results he anticipated this time and that the party also did not attain the expected success.

He stated that in a democracy, the final decision rests with the people, and it is the duty of himself and the party to accept and honor that decision.

Oli expressed his gratitude to all voters, leaders, workers, volunteers, well-wishers, and supporters who stood by him by voting for the sun symbol in the election. He noted that the trust and support they showed are the primary strengths of the party.

He clarified that even though the election results did not go in their favor, the commitment and spirit of service toward the people will not weaken. Oli expressed his commitment to moving forward by remaining among the people, working for their benefit, and further strengthening the relationship of trust in the coming days.
