Sangam Saccos and Hikers Club Conclude Blood Donation Program in Pokhara

Pokhara. A blood donation program, organized by Sangam Savings and Credit Cooperative Society Ltd.located in Ram Bazar, Pokhara-15, and co-organized by Hikers Club Nepal, was held on Saturday at the premises of Sangam Cooperative’s Sugam Service Center on New Road, Pokhara. A total of 32 units of blood were collected during the event.

The program's chief guest, Associate Professor Dr. Hari Bahadur KC of Gandaki Medical College, inaugurated the event by presenting a certificate of participation to the first blood donor, tourism entrepreneur Nitin Sherchan. He advised eligible individuals to donate blood regularly, stating that "donating blood is like plucking a leaf from a spinach plant."

On the occasion, Niraj Thapa, Coordinator of the Advisory Committee for Sangam Saccos, stated that Sangam Cooperative has been fulfilling its social responsibilities since its establishment by organizing programs in collaboration with various organizations.

Krishna Ranabhat, President of Hikers Club Nepal, expressed his pleasure in co-hosting the event with the cooperative and showed his willingness to collaborate in the future.

Also speaking at the program were Sagar Karki (Second Vice-President of the National Music Workers Association Gandaki Province Committee), Milan KC (President of Darbarthok Tole Development Organization), Bina Shrestha (President of Chandika Aama Samuha), and Bhovindra Giri (Coordinator of the Cooperative's Audit Committee), among others.

The program was chaired by Navaraj Tiwari, Chairman of Sangam Saccos. Tilak Thapa, the Program Coordinator, delivered the welcome address, and Madhu Adhikari, Secretary of the Club, served as the Master of Ceremonies.
