Rising Star Youth Club Collects 63 Units of Blood in Donation Drive

Lekhnath – The Rising Star Youth Club, located in Rithepani, Ward No. 27 of Pokhara Metropolitan City, collected 63 units of blood during its open blood donation drive.

The drive, held on Thursday as part of the club’s annual program, was attended by Ward Chairperson Purnkumar Gurung of Ward No. 27, who advised the youth to stay away from vices and irregularities and work towards social transformation. Appreciating the club’s active role, he expressed confidence that youth participation would continue in local development initiatives.

The program, chaired by the club’s president Til Bahadur Gurung, received technical support from the Pokhara Blood Transfusion Center. Former president Vishnu Prasad Gurung highlighted that the Rising Star Youth Club of Pokhara–27, which has been active in sanitation and sports, organized this blood donation drive as part of its annual program. He also provided information about the importance and utility of blood donation.

The event, held under the motto “Blood Donation: Giving Life, Supreme Donation,” featured local social worker Jagbahadur Gurung, outgoing club president Yam Prasad Gurung, Ward Member Jitendra Khatri, and President of Pragati Chowk Mothers’ Society, Devimaya Gurung, who all emphasized the significance and benefits of donating blood.

The club has recently undergone a committee restructuring. The newly formed committee includes Til Bahadur Gurung as President, Sujan Gurung as Vice President, Kiran Gurung as Treasurer, Arjun Sapkota as Secretary, and Kapil Gurung as Assistant Secretary.
