19 Units of Blood Collected in Pokhara on Red Cross Establishment Day
Pokhara. A total of 19 people donated blood during a blood donation program organized on the occasion of the 24th Establishment Day of the Nepal Red Cross Society, Pokhara Metropolitan City Ward No. 32.
The blood donation program was inaugurated by Urmila Khadka, Chairperson of the Nepal Red Cross Society, Kaski District Chapter.
Chief Guest Khadka highlighted the unique importance of blood donation, stating that blood donation is life donation.
Binduraj Tiwari, Chairperson of the Ward Branch, stated that the blood donation was organized as part of the branch's regular activities along with its social responsibility.
During the program, Paropakar Ama Samuha, Gagan Newa: Khal, Purnadip Paudel, Ghanshyam Khanal, Shikhar Net, Bishnu Bahadur Basnet, Khem Gurung, and others provided various kinds of support.
The program, presided over by Branch Chairperson Binduraj Tiwari and conducted by Secretary Bishnu Bahadur Basnet, featured a welcome address by Vice-Chairperson Bimala Thapa Basnet, and the seven principles of the Red Cross were recited by member Devi Tiwari.
Those who spoke on the importance of blood donation and related topics during the event included former Branch Chairperson Kisan Pariyar, Kaski District Chapter members and Ward No. 32 facilitators Subhash Adhikari and Babita Subedi, Sharankumar Pradhan, Mohankumar Pradhan, and Bharat Thapa.
