Rapper Manoj Oli Releases New Rap Highlighting the Harsh Realities of Nepali Society
Kathmandu, July 7 – Rapper Manoj Oli has released a new rap song that vividly portrays the current socio-political realities of Nepal.
Through his lyrics, Oli sheds light on how, regardless of the political system or ideology in place, the rich continue to grow richer while the poor become increasingly marginalized.
The rap questions the promises made during the political transition to a republic, pointing out how, even after coming to power, leaders have failed to bring meaningful change to the lives of ordinary citizens.
Despite repeated assurances from political parties and changes in governance, the rap emphasizes that the daily struggles of the people remain unchanged.
The song powerfully expresses how, even after revolutions carried out in the name of the poor, many still struggle to afford basic necessities like food, education, and healthcare.
The music video features performances by Mukun Bhusal and other actors, and is directed by Nikesh Khadka.
