Amrit Ghimire Re-elected as President of Nepal Heavy Equipment Entrepreneurs Federation, Gandaki
Pokhara – Amrit Ghimire has been re-elected as the president of the Gandaki Province Committee of the Nepal Heavy Equipment Entrepreneurs Federation. The new leadership was unanimously selected during the federation’s second general assembly and first convention held on Monday in Pokhara.
Balakrishna Koirala was elected vice president, Bhimsen Kshetri (Bhim KC) as general secretary, and Lila Mohan Kuik as treasurer. Other members include Mangal Kumal, Umanath Acharya, and Prem Bahadur Ghimire.
During the event, federation president Umakant Sharma highlighted challenges faced by entrepreneurs due to licensing, vehicle registration, and taxation issues and announced plans to unite entrepreneurs nationwide to strengthen the sector. Narayan Paudel, operator of Auto Wedge Pvt. Ltd. in Pokhara, stated that the company supplies new equipment according to market demand and currently holds 60% of the market in Gandaki Province.
Remarks were also given by the federation’s founder president Dr. Tarabahadur Kuwar, outgoing president Prem Lal Shrestha, Janak Parajuli, president of the Federation of Nepalese Industries and Commerce, Gandaki Province, and other dignitaries.
