Police Arrest Suspect with 171 kg of Cannabis in Makwanpur

Kathmandu: In Makwanpur’s Manahari Rural Municipality-9, Kharanga, a police officer arrested a person with approximately 171 kilograms of cannabis. On Tuesday morning, Police apprehended 20-year-old Akkal Prasad Syangtan, a resident of Raksirang Rural Municipality-4, with 171 kilograms and 21 grams of cannabis.

Police from the Ilaka Police Office, Manahari, stopped a vehicle (Ba.13 Cha 2014) coming from Bhawar towards Manahari. During the search, they found the cannabis in 27 separate packets and arrested the driver, Akkal Prasad. The police are conducting further investigation into the case.
