PM Oli Extends Greetings on Guru Purnima
Kathmandu, July 10 – On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli extended heartfelt greetings to the people of Nepal through social media. In his message, he highlighted the spiritual significance of the day and described the guru as a revered figure who guides individuals toward self-realization.
“A guru is someone who leads us from darkness to light and helps us recognize our true nature,” PM Oli wrote. “We don’t need someone who questions others, but a living lamp that illuminates our inner truth. That lamp is called vivek (wisdom).”
Recalling the day as also the birth anniversary of Maharshi Vyasa, he added, “Our ancient Eastern civilization calls the one who helps us discover our innermost self a guru, and the one who teaches us about the world a teacher.”
PM Oli concluded by wishing that the light of wisdom reaches the innermost core of everyone’s being.
Warm wishes on the sacred occasion of Guru Purnima!
