Patriotic Nepali Film ‘Yo Man Ta Mero Nepali Ho’ Premieres in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, July 10
The grand premiere of the film ‘Yo Man Ta Mero Nepali Ho’, dedicated to the Nepali language, literature, art, and patriotism, was successfully held on Wednesday evening at Big Movies in Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu. The film will be released nationwide from Friday (Ashad 27). The premiere was attended by filmmakers, journalists, security personnel, and people from various walks of life.
After watching the film, director Tulsi Ghimire praised its effort to preserve and promote the Nepali language, literature, and art, stating, "The film delivers a message that makes not only the new generation but also the current one more responsible towards the Nepali language."
Actor Rajaram Poudel said that the film, filled with Nepali essence, patriotic emotions, and the importance of the Nepali language, is a must-watch for every Nepali. Director Ashok Sharma also praised the film and expressed confidence that it will win the hearts of audiences. Folk singer Jyoti Magar appreciated the film’s content, saying it is a movie every Nepali should watch.
Journalist Sushil Nepal remarked that the importance of language, literature, art, and the nation becomes clearer when one is abroad, and the film attempts to highlight all of this. He also suggested that the government should provide tax exemptions to such films.
Attendees at the premiere included journalist Tikaram Yatri, folk singer Badri Pangeni, Radhika Hamal, choreographer Kamal Rai, director Rajendra Salabh, Rishi Lamichhane, former MP Mahendra Limbu, APF AIG Banshiraj Dahal, producer Rajkumar Rai, Artists’ Association President Mohan Niraula, Directors' Association President Janakdeep Parajuli, Technicians’ Association President Pushkar Lama, and comedian Dinesh Kafle, among others. All agreed that the film is one every Nepali around the world should watch.
Lead actors Vijay Baral, Roshan Shrestha, Wilson Bikram Rai, Ayusha Samal, and Buddi Tamang, expressed confidence that the positive response at the premiere indicates the film will do well.
Director Mitra Pradhan (Nar) shared that the feedback from the premiere was encouraging and emphasized that the film was made with genuine dedication to the country and to Nepali language, literature, and art. He urged all Nepalis to go to the cinema halls and watch the film and share their feedback. Social worker and lyricist Pancham Tamang even traveled from the USA to attend the premiere.
Presented by Padma Ishwar Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., the film is produced by Gyan Bahadur Pradhan (Roshan) and presented by Mitra Pradhan. The film also features performances by Narayan Khati, Bhupendra Lingden ‘Mantri’, Subash Bhandari, Bijay Subba, Bijita Pariyar, Devraj Rajbanshi, and Bhanubhakta Sitaula.
Directed by Mitra Pradhan (Nar), the film is written by Shivam Adhikari. It features cinematography by Saurabh Lama, action direction by Dev Maharjan, VFX by Sameer Miya, choreography by Kaviraj Gahatraj and Pramod Bhandari, editing by Banish Shah, and CGI by Satyam Rana.
Music is composed by Dipak Sharma, Bikash Chaudhary, and Thormpho Hyang Rai, with lyrics by Dipak Sharma, Wilson Bikram Rai, and Shankar Adhikari ‘Ghayal’, while Anish Adhikari has contributed lyrics for the Khijadi song. The film is being distributed by RR Films.
