Grand Unity Program of the Non-Resident Nepali Association Concludes
The grand unity program of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has concluded. The agreement on unity was signed in the presence of Honorable Prime Minister Sushila Karki by Dr. Badri K.C., the President elected from the Eleventh General Convention, and Mahesh Shrestha, the President elected from the Unity General Convention.
During the program, Honorable Prime Minister Sushila Karki congratulated the association for the grand unity, stating that it marks a milestone in putting aside all differences and leading the association on a unified campaign.
She remarked, "You know the saying, 'When brothers split, outsiders loot,' so going together sends a positive message; splitting gets you nowhere."
Honorable Minister of Communication and Information, Jagadish Kharel, urged the NRNA to remain non-political, stating, "Let the unity not just be on paper, but also sustained in the heart and mind."
The two Presidents, Dr. Badri K.C. and Mahesh Shrestha, clarified that the grand unity was achieved with the objective of safeguarding the rights and interests of Nepalis abroad in the changed national circumstances, contributing to the overall prosperity of Nepal, and sending a message that non-resident Nepalis across the globe are united.
The program saw the presence of approximately one and a half hundred NRNA representatives.
